tech-from-europe.eu is an independent directory of European business software. We help companies find capable vendors from the EU, EEA, EFTA and the UK as alternatives to widely used US tools, with a focus on data sovereignty, GDPR compliance and clear, traceable assessment.

How we order listings

Within a category, we order vendors by an overall assessment of several factors: user reviews and reputation, feature depth, EU-readiness (hosting location, GDPR, certifications such as ISO 27001), pricing transparency and market momentum. We deliberately do not display a numeric score, the order reflects this assessment.

How we fund the directory

tech-from-europe.eu is free to use. To fund the research behind it, we may work with some of the vendors listed, for example through partnerships or affiliate programs. Such a commercial relationship can influence where a product appears within a list, but never our assessment, the data we publish, or whether a vendor is included at all. To date, no vendor has paid for placement or for a better position. The info icon on each list links back to this explanation.

Where the data comes from

We derive information from publicly available sources (vendor websites, documentation, pricing pages) and reputable review platforms. External ratings are cited as linked facts, we do not reproduce third-party datasets. The data is based on thorough research; errors are still possible and all information is provided without warranty.
